After the structure fire late into last night and this morning, Adams Area crews were kept busy with multiple calls for service.

A little after 1400 hours we were alerted for a request by PD to assist with a backed up drain causing flooding to a residents right of way off of Downieville Road.

Shortly after returning in service from that call, we were alerted just before 1600 hours for a motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Route 228 at Brickyard Road with a passenger vehicle and school van with two students on board. Rescue 42 arrived to find one vehicle off of the road way and the school van disabled with damage on Route 228. All occupants were uninjured and crews worked on containment, clean-up, and traffic diversion until the roadway could be re-opened.

Upon returning from the MVC, we were then alerted at 1715 hours for a pole leaning with wires down on Route 228 at Myoma Rd. Engine 42 responded to find wires down on a pole along the access to a power sub/distribution station. Penn Power was notified and E42 cleared within the hour.

Station 42 was then alerted shortly after 2000 hours for an assist into Pine Twp (Allegheny County) with a natural gas leak at the high school. Tower 42 responded with 4 and the Squad shortly after with 2. Crews took up truck duties of sweeping the building for any remaining occupants that may not have evacuated, then were detailed with assisting Wexford (St. 228) and Richland (St. 241) with tracing the affected line for a shut off valve and containing the leak.
