From the desk of the Fire Chief,
Dear Residents of Adams Township, Mars Borough, Seven Fields Borough, and Valencia Borough,
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation regarding the current ban on outdoor burning. We recognize that spring is typically a time when many of us focus on enhancing our outdoor spaces, and traditionally, yard waste has been managed through burning. However, given the ongoing dryness of the ground and the fact that some vegetation has not yet fully established, we kindly ask for your continued partnership with the Adams Area Fire District in preventing grass and woodland fires.
We do not make this decision lightly, understanding that it may impede your spring cleanup efforts. We will closely monitor the PA DCNR Fire Danger Map, and once our area is no longer classified as high risk, we will reassess the ban. For your convenience, the link to the map and local ordinances is attached below.
Should you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact our station at (724) 625-1210 or via email at info@adamsarea42.com. Please remember that we are a 100% volunteer district, and responses may not be immediate. In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely, Talo H. Capuzzi
