The Rescue was alerted a little after 2:30pm at the request of Cranberry Chief 21 to assist with an MVC involving a motorcyclist on I79 underneath the Route 228 overpass. The Rescue was enroute with 5 within 30 seconds of dispatch and on scene in just over 6 minutes.

The Rescue was originally tasked with the LZ for STAT Medevac 3. After the patient was flown to a city trauma center, the Rescue then assisted with shutting down I79 and rerouting traffic for the PA State Police accident investigation.

The Rescue cleared after just under two hours when Butler County Fire Police units were able to arrive on scene and take control of the traffic diversion.
