Today Firefighter Mike Toth and Captain Doug Mellinger of the Adams Area Fire District visited Little House Learning Center for Fire Prevention Week to discuss fire safety with the children.

We discussed what to do when the fire alarm goes off, home evacuation plans, and FF Toth put on full firefighting PPE to help the children understand that they should not be afraid of us if we’re coming into their houses to rescue them. The children were then given a tour of the fire engine and went home with a fire safety bag with coloring books, crayons, and a pamphlet to help parents teach their children about fire safety.
