228’s district. Tower 42 quickly responded with a crew of 6, followed by two more in the squad. T42 was the first arriving unit and assumed first due truck responsibilities.

Crews split and entered to find what appeared to be a small fire in the upper attic space, and knocked it with a can. Exterior crew opened the roof. Further searching revealed a large volume of fire in a kneewall void space behind a closet in the 2nd floor. Crews opened up and extinguished the fire, and were relieved by additional crews to overhaul.

Crews operated for roughly 2 hours. Additionally 3 members remained on station for further incidents.
